At the end of the day, you set the precedent for how you think you should be treated. I agree with that part. 

But I also know that you can only impress upon someone how you would like to be treated. How they treat you is up to them. If they disrespect you then you have the choice to take it or leave it, and if you take it then you can’t keep blaming that other person for disrespecting you, can you?
