Not being racist, just saying.

I wasn’t aware black people had a holiday, just saying.

Because, trust, I would LOVE a holiday from white supremacy and white privilege…

To be one posting off-topic, this always slightly bothers me.

Especially with ‘Black history month’. If that’s allowed to exist, then there should be an ‘Asian history month’, a ‘White history month’ and so forth. I never really understood why we had to celebrate such important individuals, and yet have to categorise them by their ethnicity and make that appear AS important as their achievements. Although I suppose when taking their ethnicity in consideration to what they were able to do, considering their cirumstances, is fine. Repeatedly pointing out their ethnicity just for the sake of being able to say they were black! isn’t really that cool though.

All of those months exist. If you’re going to join in these conversations at least know that much, though the fact that you ignore the historical & social context of black history month says a lot anyway.
