first off SPOILERS
(click for big) You know, the more I think about these two, the sadder it seems to me. For Hawkeye, obviously, because being mind-controlled sucks and is traumatizing, but also kind of for Loki, because he just like, steals himself a friend? Loki seems completely incapable of actually making friends for himself. Even before he was evil, on Asgard, Thor was the only person who seemed to halfway want him around, and made his friends just kind of tolerate him.
Anyway, I took these sad thoughts and turned them into a doofy comic, as usual.
Andres Bedoya “Ultra Madre” [Video]
In 2009 Andres Bedoya organized a haunting performance installation “Ultra Madre,” in which 57 women lay still on the scaffolding of the main arch of the Museo Nacional de Arte in La Paz, Bolivia. For one hour the women did not move, their long, black hair cascading down the 15-foot structure.

Five of my favorite ladies - Bessie Smith, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Etta James. Graphite drawings over watercolor, digitally composited with a little use of the eraser tool in Photoshop. Other than those little circles, unedited.
