♥ THAT NAOMI CAMPBELL IS BUILDING THIS AMAZING SELF-SUSTAINABLE ECO-HOME!
Naomi Campbell has visionary eyes for the future. The icon has enlisted the Spanish eco-conscious architect Luís de Garrido to design a completely self-sustaining green home on her (and her partner, Vladimir Doronen) private island, Isla Playa de Cleopatra, off the coast of Turkey.
The 25-room, multi-level dome home will be powered by a stream of hundreds of photo-voltaic panels. Water is collected from the rain and is to be recycled as a grey-water system throughout the estate. The home is naturally heated by a greenhouse-like design of nearly all glass panels to allow natural light. Louvers and vents keep the home just as cool from the Mediterranean climate. In keeping with the island’s Kemetic name, several symbols from Ancient Egypt are built into the design.
The home is the iris of the massive Eye of Horus layout of the estate that can be seen from sea or air, with the long ream of solar panels serving as the ‘eyebrow.’ And yes, that is an ankh to the side. An incredible project that will be even more thrilling, once it’s realized.

but i gotta wonder… at night, when the lights are on inside… can someone just sit outside and see into the whole house? if so, that’s kinda creepy…
